News: Man dies following crash in Muscatine county

MUSCATINE, IA - First responders found a man's body hours after a crash near Independence Avenue and 231st St on Monday, according to KCRG.

A 22-year-old man was driving a red GMC Sierra when he crashed into a ditch, causing the vehicle to land on its roof around 9:15 p.m.

First responders were initially unable to find the man's body and filed a missing persons report for him the next day.

Volunteers discovered the man's body around 5:10 p.m. on Tuesday in a creek bed in a wooded area.

The Muscatine County Sherriff's Office is investigating the incident. They urge anyone with information regarding the case to contact them.
