DE SOTO, IA - According to KCCI, one person died in a semi-truck wreck on I-80 near mile marker 111 on Monday morning.
The crash happened when the semi-truck driver failed to negotiate a lane shift and collided with a barrier before rolling on its side around 1:30 a.m. The semi-truck then caught on fire.
It is unclear if the victim died at the scene or an area hospital.
The incident is under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
