News: 7th grade students injured following crash in Keokuk County

KEOKUK COUNTY, IA - According to KCCI, multiple 7th-grade students were hurt in a hayride crash on a gravel road near What Cheer on Saturday.

The pickup truck pulling a trailer for a hayride as part of a non-school sponsored ride crashed around 9 a.m. An unknown number of students were hurt in the incident. Their current condition is unclear.

Officials with the Sigourney Community School District have coordinated counselor support for students. Officials have maintained close contact with the families of the students injured in the incident.
