WELLSBURG, IA - A firefighter was hurt while battling a fire in a field on Wednesday morning, according to KCCI.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 2:30 a.m. Two combines were on fire by the time they arrived. Both combines are a total loss.
First responders transported one firefighter to an area hospital. Their current condition is unknown.
The Grundy County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
