FAIRFAX, IA - Emergency crews were called to the scene of a garage fire at 125 Horizon Ave on Thursday, according to the Linn County Sheriff's Office.

One of the house's residents saw smoke and then fire coming from the garage around 2:14 p.m.
A golf cart had caught on fire and spread to the structure. Firefighters extinguished the fire.
The residence was not damaged, but the garage had significant damage.
Officials believe the fire was electrical.
