IONIA, IA - A firefighter died after a firetruck collided with a UTV near Exeter Ave and 215th St on Sunday, according to KCRG.
The 43-year-old driver of the UTV, which was converted into a fire-fighting vehicle, was responding to a fire when they and a firetruck attempted to pass a tractor.
The firetruck driver collided with the rear of the UTV around 4 p.m. The collision caused the UTV to roll over and eject its driver.
Rescue crews transported the UTV driver to a hospital in Minnesota, where he died.
