DAVENPORT, IA - A driver fleeing the police crashed into another vehicle and injured its occupants near Veterans Memorial Pkwy and Brady St on Sunday, according to KWQC.
The police chase began in Clinton County. It ended when the 37-year-old male suspect was heading south in the northbound lanes of traffic on Brady St and collided with a Cadillac sedan around 3 p.m.
Rescue crews transported the occupants of the sedan that was struck to an area hospital with minor injuries. They were released later that day. The suspect was also treated and released from the hospital before being booked in jail.
Authorities charged the suspect with speeding, driving on the wrong side of the highway, and driving without a driver's license.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the incident.
