An 18-year-old man was driving a 2023 Kia Sportage east on Blairsferry Rd when he rear-ended a Dodge Ram driven by a 71-year-old man who was stopped for the red light.
The collision disabled the Sportage and pushed the Ram into a ditch.
Rescue crews transported a juvenile passenger from the Sportage and a 67-year-old female passenger from the Ram to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities cited the Sportage driver for failure to stop in a safe and assured distance.
