News: Crews battle fire at vacant building on SE 4th St

DES MOINES, IA - A vacant building on the 200 block of SE 4th St caught fire on Thursday, according to We Are Iowa.

The building was in the process of being demolished when a worker heard a popping noise and saw flames around 9 a.m.

Crews had the fire extinguished around 10 a.m.

The cause of the fire is unknown. It is not under investigation since it's an abandoned building.

Nobody was hurt in the incident.
