DES MOINES, IA - Firefighters were called to the scene of a house fire at 1904 11th St on Wednesday, according to We Are Iowa.
The fire was reported to authorities around 4:20 a.m.
Nobody was inside the house when firefighters arrived. Officials believe that houseless people may have been in and out of the property.
Crews quickly put out the fire, which started at the back of the house. They could not enter the structure because of the damage to the building.
Since they cannot enter the house, an investigation is impossible and the cause of the fire will remain unclear.
The house was a total loss after the fire.
