LINN COUNTY, IA - According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, a driver was injured after he hit another car near US 30 and Cedar River Rd on Saturday.

A 61-year-old male was driving a 2008 Kia Rondo north on Cedar River Rd when he failed to yield as he entered US 30 and collided with a 44-year-old male driver heading east in a 2013 Hyundai Sonata around 2:43 p.m.
Following the collision, the Kia driver fled the scene on a motorized bicycle. Authorities located the driver and crews transported him to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Hyundai driver was not hurt in the incident.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash. Charges are pending against the Kia driver.
