News: Man faces charges for fatal accident in Volga

VOLGA, IA - A driver is facing charges for a deadly accident on Domino Rd near Volga Campground on July 29, according to KCRG.

A 24-year-old male was driving a white GMC Sierra pickup truck occupied by people when he accelerated rapidly causing a 21-year-old man and a 24-year-old man to fall off the tailgate.

Rescue crews transported both victims to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 24-year-old man died on July 31. The 21-year-old male was treated and released from the hospital.

Nobody else was hurt in the incident.

Authorities have charged the driver with Homicide by Vehicle - Reckless Driving and Serious Injury by Vehicle.
