News: Officials ask public for help in locating hit-and-run driver

DES MOINES, IA - The Des Moines Police Department is asking the public for help regarding a fatal hit-and-run crash on I-235 NB near Euclid Ave on Monday, according to We Are Iowa,

The driver hit a 27-year-old male pedestrian while walking along the roadway around 5:20 a.m.

Rescue crews performed life-saving measures on the man before transporting him to an area hospital, where he died.

A preliminary investigation by the DMPD Traffic Unit found no fault with the driver, but they still have many questions for them.

Authorities ask anyone with information concerning the incident or who may have seen a pedestrian walking along or near I-235 around 5:20 a.m. to contact them.
