IOWA CITY, IA - Officials have provided additional details concerning a fatal two-vehicle collision that happened on the 2200 block of Black Diamond Rd SW on Tuesday, according to KCCI.
A 74-year-old woman was heading west on Black Diamond Rd SW when she strayed into the eastbound lanes and struck a dump truck head-on around 1 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the woman dead at the scene and transported the dump truck driver to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the crash.
