News: Officials provide more info on train vs. car crash in Rudd

RUDD, IA - Officials have released additional details concerning the train vs. car collision that happened near 6th St and Chickasaw St on Sunday, according to KCRG.

A 36-year-old woman was heading north on 6th St near the railroad crossing when she attempted to drive around the railroad arms around 7:30 p.m.

A Canadian Pacific Train struck the vehicle on the driver's side.

Rescue crews transported the woman to an area hospital. Details on her current condition are unavailable.

The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the crash.
