News: Teen found guilty for auto vs. pedestrian death in Iowa City

IOWA CITY, IA - A teen was found guilty of failing to yield before fatally colliding with a pedestrian at Melrose Ave and Kennedy Pkwy on May 22, according to KCRG.

A 16-year-old male was driving when hit a 44-year-old male, at around 4 p.m. The victim died from his injuries on June 4.

There is no stop sign at the intersection where Hite was hit.

A judge will sentence the driver on October 13. He could face a fine of $1,000 or suspension of his driver's license for up to 180 days or both.
