CARROLL, IA - One person died following a two-vehicle collision near S 30 and Griffith Rd on Monday, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
A 56-year-old woman was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox west on US 30 when she collided with a 2017 Ford Fusion driven by a 41-year-old man around 6:03 p.m. The collision caused the Equinox to crash into a ditch.
Rescue crews pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The other driver was not hurt.
The Iowa State Patrol is assisting the Carroll County Sheriff's Office with the investigation.
