News: Police investigate auto vs. pedestrian crash on NE 14th St

DES MOINES, IA - According to We Are Iowa, the Des Moines Police Department is investigating a crash that happened on the 4800 block of NE 14th St on Tuesday.

An adult male was crossing the northbound lanes of NE 14th St while wearing all black when a driver hit him around 9 p.m.

Rescue crews transported the victim to an area hospital in critical condition.

Following the collision, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.

Authorities have not charged the driver.

Officials have not released the victim's name.
