MARION, IA - A woman was hurt in a house fire on the 2100 block of 8th Ave on Sunday, according to KCRG.
Firefighters arrived at the residence to find smoke coming from the home. Crews put out the fire, which started in the kitchen and spread to the attic.
Rescue crews transported the house's sole occupant to an area hospital.
Two pets died in the fire.
