DES MOINES, IA - Officials have released additional details concerning the crash that happened at E 14th St and Arthur Ave on Monday, according to WHO 13.
A person was driving a truck north on E 14th St when they strayed into the southbound lanes and collided with an SUV around 8:30 p.m.
Rescue crews transported the three occupants of the truck and the two occupants of the SUV to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A 12-year-old from the truck suffered severe injuries.
The Des Moines Police Department's Traffic Unit is investigating the wreck.
