LINN COUNTY, IA - According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, one person was injured following a two-vehicle collision at US 30 WB and Irish Ln on Friday.

A 45-year-old male was driving a 2022 Freightliner semi-truck east on US 30 when he attempted to make a U-turn onto westbound US 30 and collided with a pickup truck driven by a 23-year-old male around 5:29 p.m.
Rescue crews extricated the pickup truck driver from his vehicle and transported him to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities cited the semi-truck driver with Failure to yield.
