MARENGO, IA - Officials have ruled the explosion at Heartland Crush Llc on Dec. 8 an accident, according to KCCI.
An "unknown mechanical failure" is believed to have caused the explosion. Twelve people were injured in the incident.
Heartland Crush Llc is engaged in a legal fight to learn what chemicals were involved in the fire and to clean up the area.
